Onyo · Last updated June 4, 2026
Onyo is built to be private by design. The short version: we don’t collect anything. Onyo has no account, no login, and no server. Your words and colors never leave your device unless you choose to export or share them.
None. Onyo does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
Everything you write in Onyo — your daily words, the colors you assign, your streak, and your settings — is stored locally on your device. If you use the home-screen widget, a small snapshot of your most recent words is stored in a private app group on the same device so the widget can display it. None of this is sent to us or anyone else.
If you turn on the daily reminder, Onyo schedules a local notification on your device. This is handled entirely by iOS; no notification data is sent to a server.
You can export your words at any time from within the app. Because all data is on your device, you can delete everything instantly using “Reset everything” in Settings, or by deleting the app. Once removed, it cannot be recovered by us — because we never had a copy.
Onyo does not collect any data from anyone, including children. No personal information is gathered regardless of the user’s age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
