Privacy Policy

👋 Overview

Coffery is a personal coffee diary app built with privacy in mind. We do not run servers, we do not create accounts, and we do not share your data with third parties. Everything stays on your device.

📱 Data Stored on Your Device

Coffery stores the following data locally on your iPhone:

• Coffee entry details (name, type, rating, notes)
• Photos you optionally attach to entries
• Location coordinates and addresses you choose to save
• Date and time of each entry

All data is saved as a local file within the app's private storage container. It is never uploaded, synced, or shared outside your device.

📍 Location

Coffery may request access to your device's location solely to help you attach a café name or address to a coffee entry. Location data is:

• Used only when you explicitly tap the location button
• Never tracked in the background
• Never sent to any server
• Stored only if you choose to save the entry with location

You can deny location access at any time in iOS Settings — the app will continue to function fully, you will simply enter place names manually.

📷 Camera & Photos

Coffery may request access to your camera or photo library so you can attach a photo to a coffee entry. Photos are:

• Stored only within the app's local data — not in your Camera Roll unless you choose to save them there
• Never uploaded or shared
• Entirely optional — the app works without any photos

🔗 Third-Party Services

Coffery uses Apple's built-in system services only:

• Core Location — to obtain your GPS coordinates (Apple framework, on-device)
• MapKit / CLGeocoder — to convert coordinates to a human-readable address (Apple service, no personal identifiers sent)
• Apple Maps — opened externally if you tap "Open in Maps"

No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries are included in the app.

🗑️ Deleting Your Data

To permanently delete all data stored by Coffery, go to:

iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Coffery → Delete App

This removes the app and all associated data from your device entirely.

👶 Children's Privacy

Coffery does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no data leaves the device, there is no collection in the traditional sense. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

📬 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
